Dark Horse’s Emerald City Comic Con 2018 Programming Schedule

Visit Dark Horse Comics at Emerald City Comic Con to meet some of your favorite creators and get your hands on some free swag, such as comics, pins, posters, and more! Get colorin’ on their communal coloring wall! The wall will feature pages from the #DHColors Coloring Book line! Canvases will vary throughout the weekend but include pages from The Legend of Korra Coloring Book, Avatar: The Last Airbender Coloring Book, The Witcher Adult Coloring Book, and the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Adult Coloring Book. Check out the signings and panels, too!

Special appearance in the Dark Horse booth from their friends at Happymatic Photo Booth! Come by with your friends or in cosplay and get your picture taken as a souvenir – for FREE!

They’ll also have a variety of Dark Horse comics, graphic novels, art books, and collectibles for sale in our booth.

SIGNING SCHEDULE

All creators signing in our booth offer their autographs for FREE. FREE prints, comics, or posters are provided for signings (while supplies last). You may purchase or bring items to be signed; however, we may restrict the type or number of items to be signed as necessary. Please note that some of the titles listed below have not been released for sale yet—in those cases, special prints will be available.

February 2018 wraps up 40 years of Elfquest with the biggest bang ever. Celebrate the longest-running indy fantasy comic with Wendy and Richard Pini, co-creators, writers and artist. Learn behind the scenes secrets that have been hidden since 1978. The newest – and final – issue of the Final Quest series will hit the stands the day before ECCC opens, so you’ll be able to bombard Wendy and Richard with all the questions you’ve been saving up for years! 2018 marks Dark Horse’s 30th anniversary of publishing manga! From last year’s Eisner-nominated Wandering Island, to legendary series Lone Wolf and Cub, Berserk, Blade of the Immortal, Astroboy, and Oh My Goddess!, to contemporary titles such as I Am a Hero, Fate/Zero, Danganronpa, Drifters, and Hatsune Miku, we’re proud to release a wide spectrum of works from Japanese creators. Join translator Zack Davisson and Dark Horse editor Carl Horn for a look at the past, present, and future of manga at Dark Horse!

Whether it’s the adventures of a teen bandit, a villain with a heart of gold, a rabbit ronin, a superhero girl, or anything in between, creators put a lot of thought into the sequential art that drives stories told in comics. Join Colleen Coover (Bandette), Kristen Gudsnuk (Henchgirl), Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo), and Adam Warren (Empowered) as they discuss turning an idea into a full-fledged story and how they continue to keep their writing fresh. Joe Golem: Occult Detective artist Patric Reynolds will moderate this star-studded panel!
