David Scroggy Leaves Dark Horse

It’s rare we receive press releases about staff leaving a publisher. After 23 years with the publisher, Dark Horse’s vice President of Product Development, David Scroggy, will step down, effective July 1. David developed Dark Horse Comics’ expansion in the collectables market, creating a division making statues, action figures, lunch boxes, odd giftware, and myriad other merchandise items. During his tenure with the company, David helped Dark Horse to continuously grow the merchandise line and improve sales in the non-book market.

David has forty-three years of experience in the comic industry. Since 1975, he has worked as a retailer, distributor, editorial director (with Pacific Comics, one of the first “independent” comics publishers), artist agent, and as a key organizer of San Diego Comic-Con, all prior to his work at Dark Horse.

Congrats David Scroggy on all of his accomplishments and we wish him luck in his future endeavors.

David will be attending Comic-Con International in San Diego this July.
