World Wrestling Entertainment has a long history of comics and they’re going to be entering the print squared ring with BOOM! Studios. The WWE is partnering with BOOM! for new comics and graphic novels, though the exact details haven’t been announced. So far, an image of John Cena by Jamal Campbell has been released and seen below.

BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon said in the announcement that they’re aiming for an “authentic series that matters” and highlights the history of the brand.

Comics based on the WWE have been around for some time going back to at least 1991 (making it 25 years this year) and have been published previously by Valiant, Chaos!, Image, Marvel, and more.
