Gen Con 2016 Features Record-Breaking Exhibitor Attendance

Gen Con 2016 will feature a record-breaking number of exhibitors for its 2016 convention. Gen Con’s 518 exhibitors represent a 26% increase from the prior convention year. According to a 2015 estimate by Visit Indy, Gen Con drives more than $67 million in annual economic activity to the city of Indianapolis. Given the substantial increase in exhibitors, Gen Con believes this economic activity will grow substantially in 2016.

This year’s convention expands into Lucas Oil Stadium to help meet demand. Even with the expansion there’s a growing wait list to exhibit. This record breaking exhibitor attendance allows for more gaming events for attendees and also feature new faces and convention partners.

Coinciding with the announcement, Gen Con has posted its current 2016 Exhibit Hall map at gencon.com. In the coming weeks, Gen Con will announce its plans for 2016 Georgia St. activities including the Sun King Brewery Beer Garden, Hot Box Pizza area, food trucks, outdoor entertainment, and more.

Gen Con 2016 returns to Indianapolis Thursday, August 4 through Sunday, August 7 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Last year, Gen Con set an attendance record with more than 61,000 unique attendees. With attendees from all 50 states, every Canadian province, and more than 54 countries.Gen Con 2016
