Paramount and Hasbro Lift the Curtains on Their Group of Writers Building a New Film Universe
There has been much discussion of Paramount Pictures and Hasbro‘s plan to build a shared interconnected movie universe featuring numerous Hasbro brands. This movie universe will include G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionaries, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and ROM. To put it all together, the two companies have created a writers room featuring some top notch talent. Today they’ve lifted the curtain as to who is taking part before their inaugural meeting this Monday.
This group includes some of the most notable creative talent in Hollywood, including Academy Award Winner Akiva Goldsman, who will have responsibility for overseeing the writers room on behalf of Hasbro and Paramount as well as serving as Executive Producer for all of the films. Joining Goldsman will be Lindsey Beer, Pulitzer Prize Winner Michael Chabon, Cheo Coker, Joe Robert Cole, Nicole Perlman, Jeff Pinkner, Nicole Riegel, Geneva Robertson and Brian K Vaughan.
Allspark Pictures, Hasbro’s film label, plans to produce films based on this cross-property universe, and this is on top of the expanded universe for the company’s Transformers line of films.
