TV Review: The Walking Dead S6E15 East
The Walking Dead‘ has just one more episode until the sixth season wraps up and it’s all about building up to what’s expected to be an explosive finale.
Both Carol and Daryl have taken off with different missions and due to that two teams head out to search for the two of them. Each runs into different groups of Saviors with different results as to what’s going on.
Carol’s segment is interesting in that it has Carol being Carol kicking ass and being full of trickery. She confronts a group of Saviors and she goes full Carol on them. But, it also brings up my biggest issue so far in that they’ve met a bunch of groups of Saviors and dispatched them relatively easily. There’s really no build to how tough they really are.
The one that’s more character focused is the team of Morgan and Rick. The two have a lot to talk about, and boy do they, with confessions being thrown out there, like the protein bar incident. Where this ends is interesting, and no way there’s not a twist to this story, but this section is very much character driven and focused.
Then there’s the other group of Glenn, Rosita, and Michonne who are going after Daryl. There the tension is greater and somewhat more action focused, though there’s not much of it.
The episode wraps up with that quiet before the storm, and boy is the finale most likely going to be a storm. The episode is full of tension, and we’re about to be in a world of hurt.
And that ending! Who got shot!? Who’s dead?!
