March, the graphic novel series by Congressman John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell has gotten a release date for the third volume as well as having its cover revealed.

The first two volumes are best sellers and are being used in schools to educate students on the Civil Rights movement. You can read our review of volume 1 and volume 2. The third volume ends the trilogy.

The graphic novel will be released in August.

Rep. Lewis was a leader in the Civil Rights movement and the cover shows off the 1965 “Bloody Sunday” march in Selma which was led by Lewis and Reverend Hosea Williams. That march took place on March 7, the same day as this announcement. During the march around 600 individuals were beaten by local individuals deputized resulting in 17 marchers being hospitalized and 50 treated for lesser injuries.
