Oreskaband’s members consist of: iCas (vocal/guitar); tae (drums); Tomi (bass); SAKI (trumpet); HAYAMI (trombone); and morico (sax/keyboard). The band formed in 2003 while the members were attending junior high school in Sakai City, Osaka. They released their first mini album, “Ore,” in 2006, their final year of high school. Success followed, as the very next year they performed at South by Southwest, the largest music event in the world. That year they released their first full album, “WAO!!”, and their first full U.S. album, “ORESKABAND.”
In 2008, they performed at the largest punk-rock festival in North America, Warped Tour ’08. They were the first Japanese band to participate in all 46 cities of the tour. That year, they released their mini album “What a Wonderful World Vol. 1,” alongside their Warped Tour documentary, “46 ORESKABAND ~ WARPED TOUR 2008~.”
Oreskaband’s third mini album, “What a Wonderful Word Vol. 2,” followed in 2009, along with the online-only release of their single, “Jet Wave.” The band continued to tour, performing at Rock in Japan Festival 2009, Summer Sonic 2009, Set Stock ’09 and other festivals over the course of the summer. The following year, they released their second full album, “Color,” and performed at Rock in Japan Festival 2010 and Rising Sun Rock Festival 2010 in Ezo.
The band released their fourth mini album, “Hot Number,” in 2013 and toured in the U.S. for the first time in five years. They also performed at Anime Friends 2013 in Brazil.
