Cryptozoic Ceases Direct to Consumer Sales of Trading Cards

CryptozoicCryptozoic Entertainment has announced an update to their online E-store policy. Direct to consumer sales of trading cards and binders on the Cryptozoic Entertainment E-store will cease as of May 2015. This shift is a response to retailer requests to drive consumer purchases to retail stores.

This change means retailers will have access to additional quantities of products. Historically, Cryptozoic has sold a very small quantity of trading card products on the E-store. New releases will be sold through distributors and retailers, this includes The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trading card products and subsequent releases. This change in E-store sales will begin May 2015.

Consumers seeking to purchase Cryptozoic Entertainment trading card and game products at a local store can use the retail store location tool online.

Co-Founder and Co-CEO, John Sepenuk in a release said:

We recognized the overall need to support our retailers and distributors, we listened to their concerns, and want to show them support by changing the way consumers purchase product. Our overall sales strategy calls for increased support of our retailers and distributors. It makes sense to transition sales from our E-store to thousands of retailers and a larger distribution network.
