Cool Star Wars LEGO Creations

Below is a guest post showcasing some awesome LEGO Star Wars creations! – Management

LEGO has always been – and always will be – the domain of anyone who has a creative bone in his body. No matter the age, LEGO has this widespread appeal that no other “toy” can ever match.

While there are awesome official LEGO sets released on a regular basis – which every LEGO enthusiast looks forward to – there are quite a lot of hardcore builders out there who come up with their own custom LEGO creations.

These custom creations showcase the talent of LEGO enthusiasts and make us go WOW!

Since there are so many custom creations, let’s focus on one popular theme today: Star Wars LEGO creations.

Here are some of the coolest you can find.

Darth Vader by Evan Bacon

lego vaderEvan Bacon, as young as he is, has earned the reputation of Master Builder with his awesome creations. He is well-known for his life-sized LEGO builds such as Iron Man and Superman. He has won awards at the Texas LEGO convention, a testament to his skill. This Darth Vader statue is definitely one of those that inspires LEGO builders.

Imperial Star Destroyer by Jerac

lego star destroyerJerac, a builder from Poland might just give Evan Bacon a run for his money with this LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer. Not only is this build the largest of its kind with more than 40,000 bricks, but it is also the most accurate LEGO rendition of the Star Destroyer. Other stats that will blow your mind:

  • 110 pounds (50 kilograms)
  • 62 feet long (2.02 meters)
  • 1 feet wide (1.25 meters)
  • 9 feet tall (58 centimeters).

And it took Jerac eight months to design and create this!

Lego Star Wars Custom 501st Gunship

Gunships were the life and blood of the Clone Wars. Some were designed to drop smaller assault vehicles while others were used as troop carriers and supply reliefs. And, to fulfill their missions, they were built to go through enemy-infested territory, to withstand heavy fire, and were armed to the teeth. They are quite popular, with LEGO releasing official sets, but this custom 501st Gunship is something to behold.

This custom ship is so detailed that you will need to go over the video again and again to appreciate all the work put into it. From decals to custom helmets to custom guns – this Gunship may be a mishmash of parts, but the result is well worth the work. Take a look at the video and marvel at this great piece of Star Wars LEGO creation.

Star Wars UCS X34 Landspeeder

lego landspeederThere are many things to be envious about when it comes to Luke Skywalker, but this Landspeeder is definitely one of them. Who wouldn’t want a hovercraft of his own? With the traffic situation in most cities in the world, one of these would certainly help you get to your destination in a more efficient way. Or maybe not. But who cares? This LEGO build is so awesome that you’ll want one anyway.

Psyence has decided to put a personal touch to the Landspeeder and presented it to LEGO Ideas. If this project garners enough support, LEGO will create an official set.

According to the creator, he “reviewed pictures of Landspeeder toys, images on the web, watched snippets of “A New Hope”, and read over schematics on Star Wars wikis for vehicle statistics.” The result is so good, that I hope it gets the backing it needs.

Why not head over to LEGO Ideas and help this become a reality?

These three amazing Star Wars LEGO creations serve as inspiration to budding – and even the more seasoned – LEGO builders. With ‘ordinary’ people being able to create these, who says you can’t, too?

Aside from these ideas, there are guides, forums, and other resources which will help you with your build from step one to the finish.

What Star Wars LEGO build do you want to create?
