Ice Age Freezes Spider-Man Out of First Place

The Amazing Spider-Man was bumped from first place at the box office by the latest Ice Age movie. Spider-Man brought in $35 million compared to Ice Age’s $46 million.

That take by Spider-Man is on top of the $140 million in ticket sales during it’s six-day run that began with midnight shows start on July 3rd. That brings its domestic ticket sales after about two weeks in theaters to a little over $201 million.

Then there’s the $320 million from overseas. That brings worldwide ticket sales to a total about $521 million.
