Marvel has been teasing him and this August we finally get to find out who Alpha is in Amazing Spider-Man #692. To celebrate his 50th anniversary writer Dan Slott and artist Humberto Ramos introduce the new character as Peter Parker’s sidekick.  Yes, you read that right, Spider-Man is getting a sidekick. So this is what Dan was referring to as far as pissing people off.

The issue is oversized with special variant covers by superstar artist Marcos Martin, depicting Spider-Man through the years.
