KOREAN 3D EPIC THRILLER SECTOR 7 and QUICK

Los Angeles, California– Shout! Factory announced today a multi-year agreement with CJ E&M, the leading film distribution and production company in Korea, to be the exclusive North American home entertainment distributor for two widely popular Korean motion pictures. The announcement was made by Shout! Factory’s founding partners Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos; andCJ E&M America’s CEO Joon Choi.

Under the multi-property alliance, Shout! Factory has secured the rights to distribute the Korean 3D creature thriller SECTOR 7 and action-packed adventure QUICK for all packaged media (DVD/Blu-ray) home entertainment releases and digital distribution in the U.S and Canada.

Hae-jun is working as a marine equipment manager on an old oil prospecting ship stationed at Sector 7, the mining area in the vast open sea located off the southern tip of Jeju Island. One day, a new recruit sinks to the bottom of the sea. Evidence suggests that it was not an accident as other crew members begin to turn up dead. The few survivors soon discover an underwater creature. This viral monster infiltrated the ship through the drilling pipe and has been feeding on crew to survive.  As Hae-jun and her crew members lose all communications to the outside world, their frantic fights for their lives begin…

QUICK

From the filmmakers of international hit Haeundae (Tidal Wave) comes a non-stop motorbike action adventure. Former motorcycle gang member Ki-su makes a living as a bike messenger. One day, he escorts a female singer to a TV station. As she puts a bike helmet on her head, a timer mechanism is triggered and a countdown clock appears. Ki-su gets a call from a stranger telling the helmet is booby-trapped and will blow up if he fails to make a series of deliveries within a fixed time limit. With the police hot on his trail, he races against time to complete his last mission.
