Counterfeit Comic-Con Badges, Go to Jail
Two men who photocopied badges for the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con and sold them for $120 have pleaded guilty to theft and were sentenced to three years probation. The two 24 year old scam artists will have to pay restitution to the victims, a $750 fine and complete ten days of public service. The tickets were sold on Craigslist. On top of the fine, restitution and public service the guilty are not allowed to resell tickets for three years.
