We figured the movie would open up pretty big and it did.  According to the site BoxOfficeMojo, Iron Man 2 brought in an estimated $133.6 million for the weekend.  It bested the first movie which opened with $98.6 million.  This puts it in fifth as far as largest opening weekends of all time.

The movie was shown on 10,000 screens in 4,380 theaters.  It’s IMAX run online in 181 theaters brought in $10.2 million.  The audience skewed male and over 25 which accounts for the opening.
