Houston comics fans will get a chance to support the free speech efforts of CBLDF this weekend at Comicpalooza 2010, on March 26-28, 2010 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX. Comicpalooza will be a multi-format convention celebrating not just comics, but also sci-fi and fantasy, horror, steam punk, New Media, movies, film, and gaming of all types. We will be hosting celebrity entertainers, artist, authors, workshops, music and more!

On Friday night of the convention, the Houston Roller Derby will be serving as auctioneers for the Charity Auction.  All proceeds from the auction will be split between CBLDF and Child Advocates, Inc. (CAI) of Houston.  On Saturday night the show hosts a Live Art Show, in which attendees will be able to watch Jim Mahfood and David Mack create one of kind works of art.  Following the Live Art Show our guests will have the opportunity to bid for these works in a silent auction. All proceeds of the art show auction will go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
