With DC’s announcement of their intention of creating an easy access point for new readers, it was only time before Marvel would respond with a plan to lure new readers.  Yesterday, they announced they’d be reprinting the first issues of some of their most popular series, for $1.00 as part of their Marvel’s Greatest Comics imprint.

Starting in March 2010, each week Marvel will release the following books:

• March 3: INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1
• March 10: CAPTAIN AMERICA #1
• March 17: WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ #1
• March 24: THOR #1
• March 31: PUNISHER MAX #1

This provides a perfect point for individuals to check out these critically praised series.  I’ve read all of these series other than Punisher Max and they are all fantastic reads and for $1.00 you can’t go wrong.
