Weekly Purchases

A light week of comics, and we’re still catching up from the pile from Free Comic Book Day.  Reviews will be posted throughout the week.

Monthly Comics

Agents of Atlas #4 – Still up in air on this series.  The story is interesting if not a little confusing.  There’s this nice throwback feel to it though.

Astonishing Tales #4 – Usually this series has 3/4 of the stories being top notch.  This one the Daredevil and Mojo stories lack.  Though the final page of the Mojo tale is pretty humorous in the last panels.  Definitely worth the pick up though.

Cable #14 – Cable and X-Force assault the citadel to save Hope.

Deadpool #10 – The crossover with the Thunderbolts didn’t quite live up to the hype, but Deadpool vs. Hawkeye/Bullseye in one issue is better than the entire last crossover.

Destroyer #2 – Destroyer must rid the world of evil before his heart gives out.

the Flash: Rebirth #2 – I’ve never been the biggest Flash fan, and so far not sure what I think of this series.  I think I just don’t know the background well enough.

Invincible Iron Man #13 – Pepper gets grilled by H.A.M.M.E.R. while Tony figures out his next move.

Marvels: Eye of the Camera #5 – The modern Marvel world seen through a photographer’s eyes.  Pretty good limited series, think it’d be excellent in trade form.

New Avengers: The Reunion #3 – Marvel’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” take on AIM.

New Mutants #1 – Young X-Men hit it’s stride in the second half of the series run.  New Mutants doesn’t make the same mistake, hitting the ground running right off.  So far, so good.

War of Kings #3 – Vulcan decides Lilandra’s fate as Crystal questions the Inhuman’s use of the Kree.  Living up to the past few Marvel space epics, this is a great read.
