Weekly Purchases
A mix of old and new this week, much like last.
Monthly Purchases
Big Hero 6 #1 – Chris Claremont takes on Japan’s super hero team.
King Size Cable #1 – Chasing Cable through the time stream, from Bishop’s perspective.
Deadpool #1 – Deadpool is back in his own monthly series. A mix of humor and action, this issue throws him into the Secret Invasion and Skrull attack.
Ex Machina #38 – It’s the 2004 Republican Convention in New York City.
Final Crisis: Revelations #2 – the spirit of vengeance meets the spirit of mercy, with lots of Bible references thrown in for good measure.
The Immortal Iron Fist # 15 through #18
NYX: No Way Home #2 – Continuing the story of the mutants everyone forgot.
Secret Invasion #6 – Echos of the U.S. occupation of Iraq. But, have to say, to see Nick Fury, Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man in one panel gives me the chills and puts a smile on my face. Avengers Assemble!
Secret Invasion: Inhumans #2 – The Inhumans take on the Skrulls. We also learn a little more about the Skrull’s plan with Black Bolt.
Secret Invasion: Runaways/Young Avengers #3 – The two teams fight some Skrulls. A nice transition to Runaways #1.
Secret Invasion: X-Men #2 – The X-Men take on the Skrulls in San Francisco. But how are Angel and Archangel both in this issue?
Wolverine: Saudade – Wolverine deals out some justice in Brazil. An ok one shot.
X-Men: Magneto Testament #1 – Accounting the early years of Magneto, in Germany during the rise of the Nazis. A must read.
