Weekly Purchases

Another light week of books.

Monthly Purchases

Cable #6 – A decent improvement from the previous 5 issues.  This one focuses on the decision Cyclops has made and when is it ok to cross the line to kill?

The CBLDF Presents: Liberty Comics #1 – This came out a couple of weeks ago.  The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has published this book to raise money for their cause.  We’ll have a blog post up this week, about this wonderful organization.

Final Crisis #3 – This mega event has been interesting so far.  I thought it’d be a lot more accessible than it is, but I’m intrigued as to where it’s going.

Final Crisis: Rogues’ Revenge #1 – It came out a little while ago, but I’ve read good reviews of it.  This series focuses on the Flash’s rogue gallery who haven’t joined Libra’s team in Final Crisis.  It was good, but a little heavy on the Flash history.

The Invincible Iron Man #4 – The best Iron Man series out there by far.  It looks at the tough role Tony Spark plays as the head of SHEILD, Stark Industries, and his life as Iron Man.  Full, of global perspective and political undercurrent.

Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas #2 – Iron Man written by Jon Favreau.  He has the character down but the story is somewhat weak so far.

NYX: No Way Home #1 – A story of the mutants who’ve been lost in the shuffle.

Secret Invasion: Front Line #2 – The Skrull invasion as seen through the eyes of the average person.  Haunting reflections on 9/11 and the chaos the average person experienced.

The Twelve #7 – J. Michael Straczynski’s attempt to make his Watchmen.  So far, he’s doing an excellent job.

Wolverine: Killing Made Simple – Another Wolverine one shot out this month featuring two stories.  Both focus on ways to kill the man with the healing factor.
