William Shatner to Host Star Trek 50th Anniversary Celebration At Inaugural Silicon Valley Comic Con

Shatner Silicon Valley Comic ConThe original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, has set coordinates for Silicon Valley Comic Con (SVCC), Steve Wozniak’s pop culture and technology expo debuting in March 2016. Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural event, which has added a Friday night opening due to overwhelming interest and support. SVCC will bring top celebrities, film, TV, independent artists, comic books, cosplay, video games, music and technology to the San Jose Convention Center the weekend of March 18-20, 2016.

As the first official details for SVCC to be revealed, William Shatner will host a special 50th anniversary celebration for Star Trek alongside other stars from the acclaimed TV and film series. More information about the celebration and the rest of the special events for SVCC will be released later this fall.

Silicon Valley Comic Con tickets can now be purchased and the official event hotels are now offering special SVCC rates to attendees. There are a variety of ticket and VIP package options for everyone:

Fillion, Shatner, Campbell, Glau Headline Celebrities At Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con

Nathan FillionNathan Fillion, William Shatner, Bruce Campbell and Summer Glau are among the popular celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con, April 4-6 at America’s Center. The standout lineup will also include Daryl “DMC” McDaniels, Sean Astin, Adam West, Burt Ward, Ralph Macchio and many others.

Fillion, Campbell, Glau, McDaniels and Astin will appear on Saturday and Sunday, April 5-6. Shatner will attend on Friday and Saturday; Macchio, West and Ward are scheduled for all three days. This marks the second Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con; a successful inaugural event was held in March 2013.

Superstar comics creators scheduled to attend include Eisner Award Hall of Famer Neal Adams, Greg Capullo, Salvador Larroca, Ethan Van Sciver, David Mack, Arthur Suydam, John Tyler Christopher, and 50+ others to date.

Other headline celebrities on the St. Louis Comic Con roster include Eliza Dushku, Jon Bernthal, Michael Rosenbaum, Milo Ventimiglia, Alan Tudyk, WWF/WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, Jason David Frank, Allison Mack, Robert Knepper and Sean Patrick Flanery.

Stan Lee, Norman Reedus, William Shatner, Summer Glau At Wizard World Ohio Comic Con

Eisner Award Hall of Famer Stan Lee, Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead, pop culture icon William Shatner, Summer Glau and WWE Superstar Sheamus are among the top celebrities scheduled to attend Wizard World Ohio Comic Con, September 20-22 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.  The standout roster will also include Michael Rooker, Laurie Holden and Chandler Riggs of The Walking Dead and Ernie Hudson of Ghostbusters.  It is the sixth in the 2013 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.

Lee, Rooker and Hudson will be in attendance all three days; Reedus, Riggs and Glau will appear on Saturday and Sunday; Shatner will be on site on Friday evening and Saturday; and Sheamus will appear on Saturday only.

Additionally, all full price attendees will receive a free copy of the Exclusive Variant Cover of The Walking Dead #1 comic, available only at Wizard World Ohio Comic Con.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more.  Wizard World Ohio Comic Con show hours are Friday, Sept. 20, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Castle star Nathan Fillion, fellow Serenity and Firefly headliner Summer Glau, Eisner Award Hall of Famer Stan Lee and WWE Superstars John Cena and Daniel Bryan are at the top of a standout roster of celebrity guests scheduled to appear at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, May 30 – June 2 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  It is the third in the 2013 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. and will also feature a top-drawer collection of well-known artists and writers and a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions.

Fillion and Lee will appear on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2; Cena is scheduled for Thursday, May 30; and Bryan will be on site on Saturday, June 1 only.  Other standout celebrities attending include William Shatner, The Walking Dead duo of Michael Rooker and Norman Reedus, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Manu Bennett and many others.

Celebrated Actor Joins William Shatner, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula At Star-Studded Event Also Featuring Chris Hemsworth, Stan Lee, WWE® Superstar CM Punk™

NEW YORK and PHILADELPHIA, May 19, 2012 – Patrick Stewart, known to millions of fans as “Captain Jean-Luc Picard” on the television series “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” and “Professor Charles Xavier” in the X-Men film series, will attend Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, Stewart and Wizard World, Inc. announced today.  He joins William Shatner (“Captain Kirk”), Avery Brooks (“Captain Sisko”), Kate Mulgrew (“Captain Janeway”) and Scott Bakula (“Captain Archer”) as captains of their respective series in the iconic franchise who will be special guests at the event, set for Thursday, May 31, through Sunday, June 3 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  Stewart will appear at the event on Saturday.

The Emmy-nominated actor, who has performed in more than 100 television and film roles, is one of several actors to appear in all three “X-Men” films: X-Men (2000), X2 (2003) and X-Men: The Last Stand (2006). His role as Picard, which started on “Next Generation,” placed him in four Star Trek films: Generations (1994), First Contact (1996), Insurrection (1998) and Nemesis (2002). He also served as the voice of numerous animated characters in movies like Chicken Little and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, as well as popular TV shows such as “Family Guy” and “American Dad.”
