End of Days arrive in Chicago Art Gallery

The creators of Heavy Metal’s Four Horsmen graphic novel announced that the official launch party for Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Book 3: End of Days will be taking place October 27th, 2012 at Gallery Provocateur in Chicago IL.

This event will be a pre-release for the book which hits stores October 31, 2012.  From 8pm  till midnight there will be  drinks, costume contests and raffles to help celebrate the final installment in the epic graphic novel line from Heavy Metal Publishing. Michael Mendheim is the member of the creative team behind Four Horsemen that will be attending the event in person for autographs.

The other artists involved with the project are none other then Kevin Eastman and Simon Bisley.   All three books and original art from the series will be on hand for purchase. Gallery Provocateur is located in the historic landmark building, The Congress Theater at 2125 N. Accomplished artists whose work will also be on exhibit include: Simon Bisley, Chad Savage, John Santerineross, Christopher Shy and many more. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse art will be part of the Celebration of Dark Artists exhibit at Gallery Provocateur that starts with the launch party and ends January 3rd.

The Heavy Metal 35th Anniversary Release Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse has launched it’s second art contest “What is your Vision of War?”. The fantasticwar
apocalyptic submissions from the first Four Horsemen contest “What is your vision of Pestilence” drew fans from all over the USA. “What is your vision of War?” is open to fans all over the world.

All entries MUST be posted by the end of day August 13, 2012. The final top 7 will be chosen by Simon Bisley (Judge Dredd, Lobo) Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Michael Mendheim (Four Horsemen creator and writer) August 14, 2012. Fan voting will open August 15th, 2012 and close August 31st, 2012.
